3. Scope of the Terms
These Terms apply to every Guest who uses any service of Elf Garden.
By finalising a booking, the Guest declares that they have read and accept these Terms, and that they have read and undertake to comply with the property's House Rules. Acceptance of the House Rules forms part of the booking.
The Provider reserves the right to amend these Terms. Amendments do not affect bookings already made, unless the parties agree otherwise.
4. The services
The Provider offers the following services:
The features and content of the services and the available options are described on the www.elf.hu website.
4.1. Accommodation service
The Provider makes the guest house and the full garden available to the Guest for the period specified in the confirmed booking. The property is a self-catering guest house; the Guest must use it as intended and comply with the House Rules. The stay can be booked on the Booking page of www.elf.hu, and also on Airbnb and Booking.com.
4.2. Garden hire and custom requests
The Provider makes only the garden available, without the guest house, for workshops, events and group programmes. The default garden window is 10:30–14:30, for a minimum of 3 hours. Any slot of at least 3 hours within that 4-hour window may be requested (for example 11:00–14:00). Other times or full-day use are a custom request, not instant booking. The guest house, sauna and wellness facilities are not included in garden hire.
5. Booking and conclusion of the contract
The accommodation service can be booked on the Booking page of www.elf.hu (Beds24 calendar) or on Airbnb / Booking.com. Payment for a stay booked on this website is governed by section 6, cancellation by section 8. For Airbnb or Booking.com bookings, the contract, payment and cancellation follow that platform’s terms; this website does not handle them. The House Rules apply on site.
Garden hire and custom requests are submitted on the form on the Booking page. The contract is concluded when the Provider confirms it and the fee is paid by bank transfer.
The Guest must provide accurate data. The Provider accepts no liability for problems arising from incorrectly provided data.
6. Prices and payment
Prices shown on the website are in Hungarian forint (HUF) and include the local tourist tax.
On the website, the stay is paid by card in Beds24 (Stripe); the booking is confirmed automatically after a successful payment. There is no bank transfer in Beds24. Airbnb or Booking.com bookings use the methods those platforms offer. This website does not process card payments.
For garden and custom requests the fee is paid by bank transfer after the Provider confirms. The invoice is emailed from Számlázz.hu.
The Provider does not offer SZÉP card payment.
7. Invoicing
The Provider issues an invoice compliant with the applicable laws, based on the billing data provided by the Guest, using the Számlázz.hu electronic invoicing service.
The Guest must provide accurate billing data. The Provider accepts no liability for invoicing problems arising from incorrectly provided data.
8. Cancellation and modification
Cancellation of an Airbnb or Booking.com booking is handled under that platform’s own terms. This website does not handle those cancellations.
The following cancellation terms apply to stays booked on this website, and to garden or custom requests that have been confirmed on this website and paid by bank transfer. A garden or custom request may be withdrawn without charge until it is approved:
- Up to 14 days before arrival: the booking may be cancelled without consequences and the full amount paid is refunded.
- Between 14 and 7 days before arrival: 50% of the amount paid is refunded.
- Within 7 days before arrival: the Provider is unable to refund the amount paid.
If the Guest interrupts an already started stay or hire of their own accord, no refund is available for the remaining period.
A booking may be modified only by prior arrangement with the Provider.
9. Arrival, departure and timing
On departure, the Guest must return the keys to the designated key safe, lock the key safe, and leave the property in proper condition. If a key is lost, the Guest must reimburse the cost of the lock replacement, which is HUF 20,000.
9.1. Accommodation service
- The Guest may check in from 15:00 on the day of arrival.
- The Guest must vacate the property by 10:00 on the day of departure.
- Earlier check-in or later check-out is only possible with the Provider's prior consent.
9.2. Garden hire
- The garden may be used between 10:30 and 14:30, for a minimum of 3 hours. Any slot of at least 3 hours within that window may be requested.
- Any different timing is only possible by prior arrangement with the Provider.
10. Guest identification and NTAK data reporting
This section applies only to the accommodation service; no ID document is required for garden hire.
The Guest acknowledges that the Provider is required by law to report data to the National Tourism Data Supply Centre (NTAK). To fulfil this, the Guest must send electronically, at least 1 day before arrival, a copy of their ID card or passport and their address card.
The Provider processes the personal data obtained in this way solely to fulfil legal obligations and to provide the service, and treats it confidentially. Details of the processing are set out in the Privacy Policy.
If the Guest does not provide the required documents, the Provider is entitled to refuse the use of the accommodation for those persons whose data is not available.
11. Acceptance of the House Rules
By finalising a booking, the Guest accepts Elf Garden's House Rules, which set out the detailed rules for using the services (quiet enjoyment, proper use, safety and damage-related provisions).
In case of a breach of the House Rules, the Provider may call on the Guest to remedy it. In case of a serious or repeated breach, the Provider is entitled to terminate the use of the service and require the Guest to leave.
12. Rules for using the property and garden
The Guest must use the property, its furnishings and equipment, and the garden as intended, and return them in an orderly condition on departure. The Guest is responsible for ensuring that persons arriving with them protect the property.
As the property is a self-catering guest house, the Guest must maintain basic order and cleanliness. In particular, the Guest must:
- use and protect the kitchen equipment, furnishings, furniture and textiles as intended;
- not remove the property's equipment (towels, bed linen, pillows, blankets, other textiles) from the premises;
- on leaving, close the windows and doors and switch off the water and electrical appliances as needed.
13. Damage and extra cleaning
The Guest bears full financial liability for any damage caused by them or by persons staying with them to the property, its furnishings or equipment. The Guest must report any damage to the Provider without delay; the Provider is entitled to enforce compensation for the damage afterwards.
If the Guest causes soiling beyond normal cleaning, the Provider may charge an extra cleaning fee starting from HUF 10,000, taking into account the actual additional costs incurred.
14. Rules for pets
The Elf Garden garden is pet-friendly, but bringing animals into the guest house building is not permitted. The Guest must ensure that the accompanying animal does not endanger others' peace, does not cause damage, and that the owner removes any mess.
The Guest bears full liability for any damage and additional costs caused by the pet. In case of animal-related soiling requiring extra cleaning, the Provider is entitled to charge the actual additional cost.
15. Receiving visitors
Only the Guests named in the booking are entitled to use the service. Visitors may be received only during the day and with the Provider's prior permission.
The Guest is responsible for the conduct of persons arriving with them or invited by them, and must ensure that they also comply with the House Rules and these Terms.
16. Parking
The parking area on the property can accommodate two cars. Additional vehicles may be parked in front of the entrance without obstructing traffic, with regard to the peace of local residents.
The Provider accepts no liability for valuables left in vehicles or for damage occurring to vehicles.
17. Smoking and fire safety
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the guest house buildings; the ban covers all tobacco products and alternative smoking devices. Smoking is permitted only outside, in the yard and terrace area.
Making fire is permitted only in the designated places, with suitable material; burning plastic, rubber and other waste is prohibited. Before leaving a fireplace, the Guest must ensure the fire is fully extinguished. In case of fire, the Guest must begin extinguishing without delay, notify the authorities on the 112 emergency number, and then inform the Provider.
18. Quiet hours and environmental protection
Elf Garden is in a natural setting near a forest, so the Guest must refrain from any conduct that may disturb others' peace or the natural environment. Loud music, loud events and disturbing noise are prohibited; listening to music is permitted only at a low volume. Quiet hours apply in the garden between 22:00 and 09:00.
The Guest must collect waste according to the selective system provided (municipal, recyclable, compostable) and strive to protect the natural environment.
19. Use of the garden and outdoor facilities
The Guest may use the garden and the outdoor elements and play equipment there (climbing wall, climbing frames, swings, slides, garden installations, seating) solely at their own risk, having first checked that they are safe to use.
For minors, ensuring appropriate supervision is the responsibility of the parent or legal guardian. The Provider accepts no liability for injuries arising from improper use or from the Guest's own conduct.
20. Sauna and other equipment
The equipment at the property, in particular the sauna, may only be used in accordance with the usage instructions. The Guest undertakes to read the information provided before use. The Guest bears full liability for damage arising from improper use, and must report any malfunctions without delay.
21. Valuables and personal belongings
The Provider accepts no liability for personal belongings, valuables, cash and electronic devices brought in by the Guest; the Guest must take proper care of these.
The Provider will assist where possible in returning items left on the premises. Found items are kept for a maximum of 1 month; the cost of return is borne by the Guest.
22. Reporting faults and limitation of liability
The Guest must report any faults or malfunctions to the Provider without delay, and the Provider is entitled to take the necessary measures to remedy them. In case of later disputes arising from faults noticed but not reported during use, the Provider's liability may be limited.
The Provider is not liable in particular for damage arising from natural events, weather conditions, utility failures, or the Guest's own conduct. The Provider does everything possible to ensure a safe, comfortable and undisturbed experience.
23. Force majeure
A force majeure event is any unforeseeable event beyond the Provider's control (in particular natural disaster, extreme weather, official measures, epidemic restrictions, prolonged utility outage) that prevents or significantly limits the provision of the service.
In case of force majeure, the Provider is not liable for failure to perform or limited performance, provided the event could not be averted.
24. Complaints and consumer rights
The Guest may submit a complaint about the service at info@elf.hu or by phone at +36 30 267 5680. The Provider will investigate the complaint and respond in writing within 30 days at the latest.
The Guest should report any problems, where possible, already during use, so that the Provider has the opportunity to resolve the situation.
In case of a consumer dispute, if the Guest does not reach an agreement with the Provider, they may turn to the conciliation body competent for their place of residence or stay. The body competent for the Provider's seat is:
- Conciliation body
- Pest County Conciliation Board (Pest Vármegyei Békéltető Testület)
- Address
- 1055 Budapest, Balassi Bálint utca 25. IV/2., Hungary
- pmbekelteto@pmkik.hu
- Website
- panaszrendezes.hu
25. Right of withdrawal
The Guest acknowledges that both the accommodation service and garden hire are leisure services provided for a specified date (period), for which the consumer's general 14-day right of withdrawal without justification does not apply under Government Decree 45/2014 (II. 26.).
Only the cancellation terms set out in Section 8 of these Terms apply to cancelling a booking.
26. Data processing
The Provider processes Guests' personal data in accordance with the applicable data protection laws, in particular Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). The detailed rules of processing are set out in the Privacy Policy, and the use of cookies in the Cookie Policy.
27. Governing law and disputes
Matters not regulated in these Terms are governed by the applicable laws of Hungary, in particular the Civil Code. The parties will endeavour to settle any disputes amicably; failing that, the Hungarian courts have jurisdiction over the dispute.
28. Closing provisions
By finalising a booking, the Guest declares that they have read the provisions of these Terms and the House Rules, accept the booking conditions, and acknowledge the rules for using the services as binding on them.
These Terms enter into force on: 26 August 2026.
